Hanging out with the Robinson family was so much fun. I had photographed them two years ago so it was great to see how big Spencer had grown and to introduce them to a new park. Spencer was very happy to go digging, to tell me about how he was going to be a big brother and have so much space to run around in. We saw dogs swimming, kites flying, big sandcastles, lots of seashells, walked in tall grass and we even took some photos!!
And as I write this Jenn, Mark and Spencer welcomed Owen on Tuesday July 10th. Congrats to all of you and Spencer you’re going to be a great big brother!

I love the black and white photo it’s like Spencer is explaining, “Okay, he can borrow some toys but I draw the line at the dinosaurs.”

Jenn you look so gorgeous.

I always try to do, “what are you craving?” shots. Jen said she was craving chocolate ice cream. I didn’t have a cooler at home so a plastic bag with ice had to do! I picked up some Häagen-Dazs® Mayan Chocolate and everyone shared some spoons of the ice cream. Spencer loved it so much he walked away with a chocolate goatee!

When shooting kids, I never tell kids to get out of a photo. I was taking the photo of Jenn and Mark, when Spencer ran into the photo, I personally think it’s adorable and this is his age and who he is at this moment. I wouldn’t want to have him out of the photo and my camera is fast enough that when he runs out of the frame I can get the photo I want. I never want kids not to feel part of the photo or part of the photo shoot!

Airplane rides/Helicopter rides. Better then Playland rides and that’s what being a kid is all about.
When Jenn spun Spencer around I said you now own the title of super Mom.

Again congratulations to the Robinson family. I can’t wait to photograph little Owen.
